Notes:  In Auchtermuchty marriage register, 29 Oct 1835, recorded as "James Wanlass Abernethy".  In 1841 Census was not present in household of Isabella Wanless (actual age probably 24, but age rounded down to 20) and children David (6) and Grace (2) in Glenfoot of Abernethy.  In 1851 Census, James was living at Abernethy, South Side west of Steeple Wynd, age 42, with wife Isabella (34), and eldest son David (14), all working as weavers, daur Grace (11) doing house work, son James (9) and daur Jean (7) scholars.
