[2] "1794  6 Oct.  David Bruce in Stronamuck had a child in Tomdow with Isabel Ferguson there called   Margt." (Kirkmichael, parish no. 370, register of marriages, vol. 20).  David Bruce and Isabel Ferguson married 14 months after daughter Margaret's birth.  Janet, their second child, was born 10 months after the recorded date of their marriage. (All dates are according to registers kept by the parish church session clerk.)
