Notes:  Went by “Joey”.  Eleanor Swanney or Symon, niece of Joey's husband, John Smith, remembers Joey as being severely arthritic in old age, had to be lifted in and out of her chair.  Spoke with southern English accent.  Died one day after the 48th anniversary of her marriage to John Smith.  Widow John Smith died at midnight, one hour after the fifth anniversary of her death (11 pm on 18 July 1960).

10 January 1992, 78 yrs, at 206 Claremont, Alloa (COD (a) myocardial infarction; (b) arteriosclerosis). (D/460/1992/20 Alloa). Survived by second spouse Margaret, son John, daughter-in-law Catherine, three granddaughters and one grandson.
